Present Continuous for the future actions
PRESENT CONTINUOUS FOR FUTURE
We often use the present continuous to talk about things that are happening now or at this moment.
Tim’s in the park. He’s climbing a tree.We can also use the present continuous to talk about our future plans and arrangements.
I’m meeting Julie later. We’re playing tennis.When we use the present continuous for the future, we usually use a future time expression
(later, on Monday morning, at 6 pm tomorrow, etc.) to show we’re talking about the future and not now.We’re learning how to ski. (= now, at this moment)
